Cleaning up wiring....shorten light bar harnesses?

Working on cleaning up the wiring while setting up the Blue Sea fuse block. As most of you know, light bar harnesses are pretty long. Any issues with shortening the harnesses to get rid of the extra length? I would be using environmental splices and heatshrink for the connections. Also looking for ideas for mounting the relays. Thanks.
