Hi all. I bought a used 2020 Tundra and have been getting accustomed to it. I was under it today ans notice this and I’m not sure what its purpose is. Anyone know?

I was between work so didn’t have time to trace the hoses but they appear to up into the engine bay.

Thanks, seemed like one but everyone seems upset about the lack of a cooler. I assume it's not a traditional standalone cooler...it runs through the radiator or something to bring up to temp and also try to prevent too much heat?

@Genuine Cooling Systems offers a great solution to this. His kit is comprised of mostly OEM parts. Highly recommended even if you don't tow.

2018 and older it’s a warmer, 2019 and newer it’s a cooler. In reality it’s a transmission warmer. The trans cooler thermostat was removed and replaced with a spacer. As mentioned above, Genuine Cooling Systems offers a great kit that is 90% OEM parts, if you have the coin. Easy install, takes between 3-4 hours to install. Website has a detailed video on how to install.

This warming puck was on pre 19 Tundras as well. After 18 they started calling it a warmer/cooler.

that little thing on the tranny is an example of toyota corporate cost cutting bullshit that defies everything Toyota used to stand for in terms of past reliability and durability.

It should be the law-of-the-land that you must use one of those OEM TOOLS No Spill Coolant Filling Funnel Kits. They make it soooo easy and you get it perfectly right the first time.:thumbsup:

The fake wood quality in the 1794 is down, the gold flake doesn't have the same sparkle. I noticed the seats no longer match NBA issue leather.

Pretty sure that's the transmission "cooler" that was deleted on late models, infuriating some owners.
