I have a 2012 Toyota tundra rock warrior 5.7.recently I just did the oil change and saw a little buildup of oil just above the AC compressor. (See pictures). I have done some research and this could possibly be the valve cover gasket, which would be a possibility for the location. I just would like to know if this would be a serious problem or something I can wait, or just leave. I haven’t noticed any oil consumption or loss between oil changes, so this might not be a problem. The first picture shows a front view just above the AC compressor and the second picture shows a view from the front left wheel well. Any information would be greatly appreciated. About 95000 miles and gets oil changes every 5000. TIA

Yep, from the 2nd picture it looks like you likely have yourself a cam tower leak. My 2018 got it on the driver's side at ~8,000 miles. If you aren't losing a noticeable amount of oil between changes and aren't noticing it on the ground I'd just leave it alone. Long story short, they messed something up on my 2018 when they did the repair under warranty and ended up buying the truck back, so I'd just leave it alone if you're out of warranty.

Do you think there would be anything to do to it to reduce the risk of it getting worse in the future?

As suggested, Other than tearing it apart to fix the failing FIPG, make sure it’s not running low on oil.

I don't really think there is anything to do. Nothing you can add from the outside is going to hold up, and it's really not that big of a deal unless you're losing tons of oil. From what it seems, these don't tend to get a whole lot worse, so I wouldn't worry too much. Just keep an eye on it every oil change

Thanks for the insight. It seems like mine is very small seepage super super slow, and loses no oil between changes. So hopefully it stays like this.

I also have a similar leak in that area. One of these days I might try to re-torque the bolts if I can get a socket on them.
