New Member Still Waiting

Thanks for all the helpful post in regards to recall issues and tracking via rail. I followed everyday from San Antonio to Princeton via CSX number only to find out it has a quality control hold. Started out at 30 days and later turned into 49 days, no eta available. On a side note, my neighbors friend purchased a 2022 Midnight Black Platinum edition. The side molding along the doors is glued on. The one on the passenger rear door was completely off. The others were very flimsy like a flexible silicone is what holds it to the door. I'm guessing the black color didn't help in regards to the molding getting hot. The seal around the windows has a gap of about 1/8" that is frequently mentioned. I previously owned two Tacomas, a 97 and 2005. Both were great trucks aside from the frames.

 

Welcome and greetings from Minnesota. Don’t forget to punch your VIN into the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) website to check if there is an active safety recall in effect. That triggers a mandated “Stop Sale”. This means Toyota can not transfer the vehicle to the dealer until the issue is corrected for the affected vehicles.

Thanks, both Jims. I don't think I have the permanent vin number so it would not work on nthsa but it did on the Toyota Safety recalls and service campaigns. This is what the Toyota website brought up so I don't know if it is valid info.
