Hey guys. Lurk around here often but rarely post...have a question I'm hoping some of you can help with. I have a 2018 Platinum with the stock 5-bolt 20" wheels that came on it (no lift/leveling kit either, still stock). It's almost time for new tires therefore I'm ready to update with some new wheels. It seems as though all the newer style wheels I'm seeing for Tundras are 6-bolt patterns.

My question is - am I just stuck with what I can find in a 5-bolt pattern OR is there some type of reputable adapter to make my 5-bolt accept a 6-bolt wheel? If there is, does that begin to effect handling due to (I assume) pushing the wheels/tires outboard further due to this adapter?

I would love to get something like this TRD Bronze colored wheels...but can I make them fit my truck? If I go with these rims, what size tires should I go with...and then also, would I need a minor leveling/lift kit done to it to accept?

Sorry for my lack of knowledge on this. Hoping some of you who have ran into the same thing can chime in.

    Thanks!

Id stick with choosing wheels with the proper 5x150 lug pattern. Wheel adapters, especially those changing the lug pattern from 5 to 6 lug are a bad idea in my opinion. There are lots of nice quality wheels out there. If you like bronze check out options from Method, RRW, Summit, Black Rhino, SCS, Icon and there’s a bunch more.

Definitely stick to the 5-150 lug pattern, and make sure you select wheel that are available in a higher positive offset. Your OEM wheels are 20x8 with +60mm offset. Most of the bagger market 20” wheels will be 9” wide, and should be available in +20 to +30mm offset. They’ll stick out further than your OEM. Like 1.75 to 2” further.

Look for the heritage land cruiser wheels. They are 18” and bronze and in the 5x150 pattern you need. They’re expensive but some of the best looking bronze wheels imo. A couple of members here are running them on their 2.5 Tundras.
