After trying to log in since i thought i was already a member , But I am now so Here we go . I have a 2011 Tundra Limited and the check engine icon on the dash or Speedometer gauge just light up about 3 days ago and after checking with some local shops about engine analyzers and how much they dont do as in pinpointing what may be the issue i thought i might see if anyone on here with a similar vintage truck had the same thing happen or something more concrete that may point me in the right direction on what i can check before i go throw money at a shop so they can tell me whats wrong. The truck has about 70 k on the dial and i have not had any issues until now with check engine lights or anything else except a brake job and the shop trying to sell me a battery since they say a cell is going bad , but i figured when it stops working i will replace it . But the check engine light does not flash or blink it just is lighted up and does not go off. But i can tell if anything is wrong no noise no smoke no bumps in the night it runs like it always has but the light is on and i would like to know why or at least what i can do to check for any issues. Thanks to all .
