Not good news. I received a call from my dealer today. I E-signed for for purchase last Friday. Yesterday it arrived at train destination in Annapolis Junction Maryland. Was told today that it has been pulled for QC Inspection and delay is at least 30 days. My vehicle is to be sold, as promised to my buyer on September 30th (I have already made him wait 45 days) and I must sell it because I had it inspected & paid for repairs.... It will need brakes and tires in the future and the registration is about to come due...no sense keeping it, paying to register it and putting on the miles, wearing breaks and tires, etc. Just not sure what to do about transportation to medical appointments, etc. Worried that it will be longer than 30 days after reading nightmare stories.

My 2021 was put on “Quality Hold” in late October 2021. (I put money down early Oct) Sometime in November the QC hold was converted to a “Safety Recall”. Since my dealer had not taken possession of the vehicle because it was stopped at the railroad receiving yard, they were just as much in the dark as I was. I discovered that my truck was subject to the recall by punching the Vehicle Identification Number into the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) website. My truck was inspected and released by Toyota Corporate to my dealer in March 2022, and it was finally turned over to me on March 8, 2022. You may need to make some temporary alternative transportation arrangements. I hope I’m wrong. Good luck.

    Welcome,

I would try "talking" to your selling dealer and see how they can help with either a "Loaner" or nicely priced short -term rental....

Some folks have nothing but horror stories while some of us have good experiences with our dealerships..

Good luck and keep us updated...
