    I guess that’s good but doesn’t help the diagnosis. I agree with others to do a leak down test.

    Tester will be here Tuesday, no parts store had a rental.

    Will put the truck back in the next day or so and do a cold test with oil.

    I got to ask, what kind of oil do you use? That engine is really clean looking for the mileage.

    I have always been a big fan of Mobile 1. I used to work in a Chevy shop and most of the vetter mostors with that in it were pretty clean

    Mobil is one of the few companies that uses Alkylated Naphthalene and Esters in their oil, which is great for cleaning.

    The end result here... A mouse or squirrel had chewed through some wires further up the harness causing my issue here.


    Low compression was a result of me sucking at compression tests :)
