Okay I finally put the deposit down for my first Pick up and first Tundra. Hopefully it will arrive within 2 months or so. Here is what I spec'd out:
1794, MGM, Saddle Interior, 4x4, requested power running boards so my 93 year old dad has a fighting chance of getting in the vehicle
Now for what other options should I go for? What I am thinking is I will either negotiate or order from Sparks Parts and install myself:
    OEM Tonneau Cover $979
OEM All Weather Floor Mats $132
    OEM Console Safe? $275
Maybe a Cat shield from Talon or some other Mfg.?
What else would y'all recommend please?

A nice couple of cigars and bottle of bourbon (Blanton’s gold label if you can find & you don’t need no PVW) to share with dad. At 93 he’s lived one heck of a life, celebrate it with him as much as you can! I’m sure you don’t need me to say it cause your post shows you care enough about him as you’re making sure your new truck can accommodate him. Hope my sons treat me that way IF I can make it that far!

Are power running boards actually available now?
Also you'll probably want a bed step.
The black chrome exhaust is a nice add.

Personally, unless they were throwing it in, I wouldn't buy the tonneau from the dealership. It is a rebranded cover, so if you have any issues (and many on here, including myself, have had issues with tonneaus) the dealership is your only source for assistance. I have read several posts with the bed flooded and the dealership saying that it is normal, in which case you are out of luck. I'd order from Realtrucks (ie. Santana on here); if you have trouble, customer service is a guarantee. Also, every area is different, but around me, a dealership will not sell the tonneau without charging an exorbitant rate to install it.

The power running boards are awesome, in my opinion. I think your dad should be ok; my 82 year old mother, who is under 5', has not problem, lol. Not sure if the power bed step is part of the running board package, but you will want something back there. I enjoy the power step.

    Enjoy the truck!

I've got the cigars covered  Been sober for 25 years now so probably a no-go on the Blanton's . I'm glad to be in a position to help take care of my dad. Also, for a wife who supports us doing this too.

Taco Tunes does have a fairly compelling install video. Very informative and easy to watch ;) In fact I watched it several times just to make sure I had full comprehension.

I'm waiting for a better option than the current console safe. It completely eats up your console. Not sure if y'all realize, but you can use the console quick access door as a cup holder for large water/drink bottles that are too big for your regular cup holders.

I recently added the door sill protectors from Tufskins. I like that it covers up 2 of the screw holes that are there and also will protect from feet dragging across this area.

Power running boards include a power bed step, so he should be covered.

Aside from that... I can't speak to whether the weather tech mats are worth it or not, but I have the factory all weather mats and they are surprisingly good.
I would also toss in a chrome exhaust tip (since you are going 1794). The factory one kind of sticks out as cheap looking on the higher trims IMO. I have platinum, and everything is either smoked chrome, black, or body color, and the stock tip stuck out like a sore thumb being galvanized steel or whatever they use. Just looked out of place, and the black tip really cleaned it up.
I would also suggest some window tint so you aren't driving around in a fish bowl.

I use the safe every day. It does eat a lot of room, but if it was much smaller it wouldn't be near as useful. I carry a very small firearm (365 XL), I do not have a lot of room to play with when putting the holstered pistol in. Granted, I carry a side saddle holster, but relatively speaking, it's pretty small. My wife often puts her purse in it when we go to the mall etc, even with a small purse, it wouldn't fit in too much smaller safe.

If you just want the safe for your wallet go smaller; if you plan to really use it, you will be disappointment with a smaller one, I think. If I had my choice, I'd take something that was the entire center console as the safe. I don't care for the little sliver of storage left over.

To me the factory console safe is perfect sized. To each his own, but to me there is plenty of space in the safe and plenty of space left over for other items. If you need that much more storage then use the areas under the rear seats. Of course some will want bigger or smaller so you will need to make that decision yourself. I am pleased with the Factory safe and would recommend.

The dimensions say it's 14" long. 2022 console is less than 13". You should be suspect of any custom fit product that says it fits 2014-2022. It's for 2.5 gen and the manufacturer got lazy and just tacked on another year when 2022 rolled around instead of seeing whether the truck had a redesign.

I got the adaptive suspension with the rear air adjustable auto leveling. I love it. Great ride and handy feature to be able to lower the tailgate height for loading and unloading gear. Also nice feature to raise it to high mode on dirt / gravel roads to get more suspension travel.

I also added the dash cam. It's a little quirky, but nice to know I have video evidence if I ever need it.

I was going to, still might but the OEM is also made to the cab actual dimensions and from z sparks parts are less expensive. If I try them and don’t like them I can always ask Santa for the Weather Tech
