What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

I had never seen those with the stripes. Looks great!

 

I added them next to the Tundra. I have a vinyl machine.

 

How much did that cost? Did they media blast them before coating them?

 

Sprayed my skid with Raptor bedliner. Now the red really pops

 

Hmm I've definitely had more than 60 miles in 4x4. I'll inspect the fluids before commiting.

Got the chrome replaced with color matched.

 

Do you have a metallic charcoal color? Something to match the MGM? I’d take some of the mountains above the Tundra if you do.

 

Took a 200 mile round trip drive with my lady for a wedding up in Murphys CA. Averaged 18 mpg up there and on the way home. Hit 20 mpg for most of the drive before we got to some of the steeper grades. Not too shabby

 

I think I'd run into the same problem where it's too far inset.

 

$100 to sand blast, powder coat, and clear coat.

 

I wish I would have thought of that. That looks awesome. Will add to my to do list.

My first time doing it. Had the dealership take car of everything until the 5 year service deal wore out. I did it at 50,898 miles. I'll probably do it every 30k or every couple years, whichever comes first.

 

How fast were you going?

Went out and did a check. I'd run into the same issue. Everything should come in tomorrow so maybe at best I can get a quick mock up of it. My original thought was on the upper part of the grill it would be closer to the same height as the tailgate backup cam.

 

Started a new project. Victory 4x4 bumper has no bracing for the mounts to factory bumper location. So after a recent recovery, the bumper pulled outward. After removing the bumper and bending everything back, gussets were added and decided to ditch the end caps. Building new ends welded straight to the Victory bumper. Hopefully will progress tomorrow, I have plans for the SS3 fogs and panel inserts to be painted a certain color.

 

Got lucky with a fb marketplace find, and I bought a whole TRD Pro front bumper assembly just so I could get these fogs but it was worth it.

It is from Amazon, good reception on the trail and short enough not to get hung up in trees. I have a much longer one behind the back seat if needed
