I’ve got about the same drive as Cruz but from the opposite direction, so I’d like to make my time there count!

What's the cancellation policy? Can you cancel the day of? Thinking of booking there but first go check out Holcomb Valley Campground since it's a first come first serve site.

I’ve been included in several planning groups for sets of friends that planned to attend San G, so I knew pretty much everyone was looking at the free 10 truck group site, and the fcfs spaces at Holcomb Valley Campground. I know a couple guys were gonna head up Wednesday to reserve as many as possible— but I figured there’d not be enough for everyone, at least those of us that cannot make it up until Friday. So…

Several of us have booked at Holcomb Valley Ranch. At first, it seemed crazy expensive: it is Edit: $75 for 2 adults per site, but costs go down dramatically once you add more adults at the same site*. Teens are $25, kids are free. Most sites accommodate more than one vehicle— and those extra vehicles are free. Off-road toys like quads and motorcycles count as vehicles. Some sites accommodate RV’s or trailers.

Unlike most other campgrounds in BB right now, this place has showers, bathrooms, and, as if this writing, campfires are permitted!

Well mannered dogs are allowed as well… no additional fee, limit 2 per site… see the “rules” and know that horses graze free in the meadow, so kids and dogs must be supervised and behave.

    1st person + vehicle: $75/ night
    each additional adult: $25
    kids/ teens: No charge
dogs (up to 2 per site) No charge

    * site maximum is 10 people, including kids

There are group sites as well… I saw 2 available last night… for a minimum 10 people. I did not check pricing, dog or vehicle limits, but if the pricing is $25 per person for all but the first, and kids free, this may not be really more expensive than San G.

Anyway, the few of us that have already booked have either cleared out competition for those free fcfs sites for the rest of you,:humble: or found a lovely spot where, if a majority commit and share sites to cut costs, we can best replicate the everyone-together-at-camp party that is San G.

I read other guys’ reports that each camp site is 1acre. The ranch is 400 acres. So, seriously, enough room for as many vehicles as are allowed on each. Site descriptions specify details.

So it sounds like at HVR you could have 10 adults with 10 trucks and pay $300/night but divide that by 10 and it’s only $30/night. Is that a correct assumption? Would they allow 10 trucks on one site?

Maybe on the group sites, where 10 is the minimum. Most of the “regular” sites allow 2 - 4 vehicles, and a 10 person maximum. You gotta read the description of each to know which, and select accordingly.
