I guess i overtightened or tightened and loosened too many times. The inside nut wore a groove in the plastic on both sides now i cant get either screw out as the nut just rotates with the screw. Has this happened to anyone else? Gonna order a new bracket and screws but any idea how i can get these screws/nuts out?

Stuff a small flathead screwdriver down the hole. I keep some cheap long-shank precision screwdrivers around for that purpose.
