FS: Dirty Deeds Stainless system (14”). $750 local/meetup only. Resonator NOT included.

System was on truck for 6 months / 7,500 miles.

Have gone back to stock since I’ve started traveling for work again and need stock quiet to take calls, etc.

Located in DFW, but willing to meet Houston/Austin/SA if coordinates with a work trip.

Was sound really that loud? I thought 14 was supposedly the quiet option.

Everyone is different. I have Keith's 20" system ordered, he builds systems up to 24". The 20" is replacing my 14" system that replaced my 10" system! We're retired and tow more these days. Under a long, hard pull, even the 14" exhaust becomes annoying,(to me) I'm old and grouchy, with hearing that's nerve damaged from 50 years of abuse. As usual, Keith is a pleasure to deal with. 'Trading up' is shipping cost only, it's worth every dime.

None yet but making a list and looking at the budget.....
Is the Resonator needed for the system. Is it direct bolt up to 2014 Platinum

If you add a resonator, it would probably be as quiet as stock…but I guess that would defeat the purpose of the exhaust since the performance is negligible. GLWS.

The resonator will cancel out any drone. I've had Keith's 10,and 14" systems. At anything but idle, you certainly won't mistake ANY of them for a stock exhaust. My Brother and Son both have Tundras, their stock systems virtually "slept" through high rpm passes and hard pulls. Very little exhaust note, most of the sound coming from the engine compartment. Brother has a 2007, Son has a 2014, I have a 2010, all 5.7's.

A lot of folks run the 8” and 10” systems without it, so it’s personal preference. You can buy the resonator from Keith at Dirty Deeds separately, if you wanted to add it.

The system is direct bolt on for 2014 trucks.

How does the 14" compare to the TRD Pro exhaust sound wise

14” quieter than a 12”…. Keith says the TRD is somewhere between the 8” and 10”.

To me, the 14” has a little more throat/rumble to it than the TRD system (I had it on my truck before switching to this). However, to most the 14” would sound like a stock truck at idle - audibly it’s not much louder than stock.

Personally, I preferred the sound/tone of the DD system to the TRD. Also saw an increase in performance without loss of low-end. This was confirmed when I went back to stock.

Keep hoping this would be sold so I stop thinking about it.

Maybe I'll get lucky with the lottery this week

Bump back to the front so someone hopefully snags it

Ive got the 12. It is nowhere near stock quiet whatsoever. Im actually considering going back to stock and leaving on resonator. I love gunning it and hearing exhaust but at slower speeds theres too much of a deep hum/vibration that im not a fan of at all

I have a 10” system cut off above the axle. Over 2.5k RPMs and cold start you can definitely hear it. Warm / Hwy cruising sounds OEM quiet to me but I do have sound deadening so :notsure:

why would you need/want a resonator using the stock muffler?

It droned some to me. Ive actually tried the res with it and its much quieter Probably too quiet tho. But i like silence when cruising. Gunning it can be crazy loud. And i must have installed something incorrectly cuz no one seems to have that issue with the deep low frequency noise.
