Has anyone tried or found a way to disable the air dam without removing it completely? Doesn't look hard to take it off and don't really want to and haven't tinkered around with the electronics for obvious reasons (not very electrically inclined), but love the look of it without it deploying. Thanks for any feedback.

Create a closed circuit trailer adaptor and plug it into the 7pin receptacle.

Or just unplug it and deal with the CEL.

    Keep it under 40mph

But otherwise, I don't think anybody has found a legit way to spoof it yet. I'm sure somebody with enough free time and desire to get an aftermarket bumper will figure it out eventually.

In my opinion this is a legit way:
As it is explained in the manual, the "damn" won't deploy when towing and therefore making the truck "believe" its towing is a legit way. I would be curious to understand how some of the custom bumper companies solve the issue as the Air Dam has to go when installing a custom bumper.

Then all your safety sensors around rear bumper would be off. Cross traffic, collision detect, etc...

for the C4 bumper, you remove the motor from the air dam, chop off the arm that swings out, and relocate it behind the grille.

Do you know why it doesnt deploy when towing?

Deployed makes the truck 5% more aerodynamic.

Stowed when towing, it improves the tundras drag coefficent by 26%, or rather, when deployed and towing it increases drag by 26%.

If anyone has or can get a picture of the actual motor, I have an idea that I that I've done on different vehicles.
