I think it’s okay for someone that was impressed with the function and styling of a Jeep Renegade.


I don’t get them at all. Not aesthetically pleasing IMO and seem to be built without any sort of utility or purpose in mind.

An “off-road” SUV with 20” wheels, no clearance, no approach angle, and an unreliable air suspension.

I saw one on Mineral Creek trail near Ouray, CO that had its air suspension fail on a nasty section of trail. He looked pretty sad sitting on his 32” tires with the car resting on the bumpstops.

 

In my neck of the woods (or beach) they are typically a beach house accessory. That and a let me impress my neighbors kinda thing. We actually have a dealer here and have seen a lot of those roaming around, just not actually ON the beach where my Tundra goes.

I don't know. I don't like most of them. But would rather have an older model compared to the newer models.

Paid off the truck/sequoia this morning. Got an idea from a buddy to modify my payoff papers. @22PlatWCP

Nah. Here in Canuckistan, they get confused when you pay off debt because that would mean you are capable of basic personal finance and are becoming less dependent on the government. That's just not very Canadian of you.

 

I had to tell my insurance company to update my paperwork to no longer show that the bank had an interest in it.

 

You: "Hello, insurance company? Yes, I need to let you know that I actually own my car now."

Ins Company:"What? No. That can't be right. The bank owns it."

You: "No no no. I paid it off."

Ins Company: "......that's impossible."

 

"We'll just hold off on making that change, just in case."

 

"And we'll add a $30 per month convenience charge for that just in case coverage. mmkay?"

 

I felt this on so many levels. Took 3 tries for the bank to finally come off.

 

Similar convo if your old truck is 14 years old and you've been saving for a new one for 10 years.

Sales guy: "I'll just go get the finance guy"
Sales guy: walking out of room
1794TX: "That won't be...
Sales guy: had plenty of time to hear, but didn't wait
Jeopardy music
Finance guy: "Glad to meet you. how much of a down payment will you be making?"
1794TX: "well, all of it"
Finance: "so, nothing down, then. That's fine, I can just check your credit..."
1794TX: "I won't need to finance."
Finance: "so, do you have your banking information? who is your loan with?"
TX: "Nobody."
Finance: ... "Well you have to show us how you're going to pay"
TX: opens checkbook
Finance: ... "I thought there wasn't a down payment?"
Sales guy: "Have you changed your mind about a down payment?"

 

You forgot to insult all of us poor people.
