Hi I have a 2016 Tundra - almost 90,000 miles. The other day I got in my truck and turned the radio on- no sound! Mute is not on, radio is still working- touch screen is still working and I can change screens and make different selections- PM, AM, bluetooth/ IPHONE etc. No sound coming from GPS either.

Usually when I make selections on the touch screen it beeps but nope- not anymore- tried to turn the volume up - thinking that was the issue - nope no volume control - I can spin the dial but the icon on the screen does not show the volume going up or down.

Also the audio balance options are not able to be adjusted where those selections they are dark/ not highlighted to press.

Has anyone else had a similar issue? Is it a fuse? I checked the connections under front passenger seat under that black cover- did not take cover off tho- they all seem to be secure.

I would do a firmware update first and go from there.

Check the amplifier fuse under the hood. I believe its a 30amp fuse.

Most recent UPDATE: AMP under passenger seat is the problem. It is causing the new 30amp fuses to blow. Does this mean there is a short and that if the short is found the AMP will still work? Or do I have to replace the AMP under the seat?

I completed the firmware update- still no sound.
I also checked the fuses 30AMP fuse was blown- replaced and 30AMP fuse and it blew as I was putting it in. In looking at the amp under the passenger seat- everything looks to be connected - Should I unconnected everything and then reconnect? Is there anything specific I should be looking out for?

Little more information- I just had the battery replaced before this happened about a little over a week. The day before radio sound stopped- I was having trouble connecting my iPhone to my JBL radio/ ended up connecting it with with the port. Not sure if any of these things could be a factor in having no audio sound.

Thank you for all your time and helping to troubleshoot this.

I have the same problem in my JBL system. I am going to swap out the head unit with a Dasaita Vivid 11, and a new amp. Eventually I will replace the speakers & sub.
