So I woke up today to find all my cats had been stolen! Any suggestions on good after market ones and a way to prevent it from happening again?

Just a quick question. Does not the noise made by a sawsall or whatever alert people who may hear?

Whatever this forum told me to do
most use the near silent band pipe cutter - with a cordless drill for the juice. takes seconds to snap it.

Sorry this happened. I hope the thieves die a slow painful death along with anyone they love.

There are some issues with aftermarket cats throwing codes. Search around for more information before you buy.

I helped my BIL put on Valhalla shields last weekend. They look like they will do the trick. As for aftermarket cats, I had the front driver side honeycomb break apart in my OEM cat after 175k miles and I replaced it with a Walker bolt on set. The tubes line up perfectly and they bolted right up with no problems and no leaks (just make sure you get new tube gaskets too). The Walkers have been working fine for two years/38k miles. No CELs, no problems whatsoever and I didn't even bother to replace the oxygen sensors. At the time the Walker set cost roughly 1/5th of the Toyota OEM cats for one side. A quick look today shows the driver side Walker's at under $400 and the OEMs can be had online for about $1500.

I just got my aftermarket Cats installed at Toyota. They used the Flow Masters. They have been good so far. No codes and I've towed with it and no issues.
