Yup it looks like it’s canceled again this year. I don’t think they’ll reopen for a weekend.

sorry guys we had 5 years of camping and 3 years of cancellations.

I’m stressed out at work at the moment so this off my plate is good for my brain but bad for my heart.

    we’ll try again soon.

It hasn't quite made it to Lake Hemet but it's spreading quickly. Just check before you get too far into making plans

I canceled all my stuff. AGAIN. But really didn't matter in a way because my wife might have possible surgery that same week.

I was hoping it wasn't going to come to this, but I know a guy that does vinyl wrap. I'm gonna wrap my truck in fire engine red, with a San Berdoo Fire Dept. logo on both sides. Stores are already selling halloween costumes, so.. boom, I'm a fireman. I'll be up there Thursday the 22nd, as scheduled. If anyone would like to join me, lemme know. I can set you up with my vinyl guy

Received mine last night. Before I decided between the 3 options given for refund, I called the Ranger station again today. I was told that all campsites in the area will not reopen.

The north side of the lake is still open. Trails and campgrounds. I’m keeping up with several different sub-groups, looks like everyone plans to just show up. The safest bet would be for us to pick a campground in the Holcomb area and commit, so we have a place. But a bunch are planning to show up and hope to snag one of the free spots.

Good news for you, @Cruzer, owing to your sparkling personality and decent camp etiquette (high entertainment value), you are being included in each sub-groups plans. If you make the drive, you’ll have at least one, and probably multiple, options to camp. :)

Start setting one up! Message people and make some magic happen.

I’ve been trying to check, looks like Holcomb Valley Campground is open - first come first serve basis.
Anyone looking to camp there will need cash/check to pay the fees on site.
The other campgrounds are reservation, and looks like they’re all full up with the exception of a random spot here and there.

Obviously there is some risk with first come first serve camping. But if people buddy up more trucks can fit. Gotta risk it for the biscuit.
