Let me start by saying I have no idea what I am doing. My end goal is put the heavy camper on Tundra. Someone suggested to me upgrade the suspension and put the 35inch tire.

I am thinking to install the Old Man Emu kit (OMETUN57HKS) I believe this gives me around 2.4 inch lift.

1- Does anyone has Old Man Emu with 35inch tire. ?

2- Please feel free point me to economical suspension brand which are reliable and can hold the heavy camper.

How heavy of a camper? If thats the reason for the change in suspension, getting a lift and bigger tires is the opposite of what to do. You’ll kill your mpg even more and cut in to your payload.

I have airbags for short heavy loads, but alot of people recommend roadmaster active suspension.

Check your payload sticker. Thats probably about 1000 lbs over. You’ll have more issues than sag - brakes, frame, wheel bearings. The tundra isn’t the truck for a camper. Did you factor luggage, gear, water, food?

Get a bigger truck. That's way too much for any 1/2 ton truck, regardless what you do to the suspension.

Need a 2500 HD truck for a slide in like that. Tundras generally have payloads in the 1240-1500 range and the higher range means a 2wd with minimal options/add ons.

on Suspension, yes OME is good, long lasting. There is a dedicated thread on the suspension with lots of pics and good info in the suspension forum here.

Great, I should be targeting 1240-1500. I live in NJ, does anyone know 4WD/camper people/shop in NJ.

Look at the payload sticker on your door jamb. Or to get more accurate, go weigh your truck and subtract that from the gvwr which is usually 7200 for the tundra (some 2wds are 7100). You also have to factor in the weight of everything you will carry in addition to any camper.

Thanks for pointing me to right direction. I thought it will be easy , I will just buy camper and hit the road, what an idiot I am, I will start from weight calculation.

Yeah my retirement plans are to travel for awhile with a camper. But I plan to get a 1 ton truck before then and not worry about payload. My only buyers remorse with the tundra is payload.

I have airlift airbags with daystar cradles. They are easy to install. I also got their compressor so I can adjust psi anywhere, but I see a lot of people run the air lines to the rear license plate to fill easily.

When I got my camper (FWC Granby) I weighed the truck empty and then weighed it with the camper loaded. Sent the numbers to Alcan Springs told them I was doing a 2.5" system and they did the magic, no complaints.

I went with 2.5 from ADS. I'll have to look up my weights but the camper is in the 1500# range.
