I don’t find the Forester cockpit as comfortable as my Tundra though. Something about the angle of the floorboards or something. My left foot goes to sleep on longer drives in it…
But thankfully I’m not in it that often

At your height I would imagine there are a lot of vehicles that are less than stellar on comfort.

DDI seat jackers for the Forester....

My wife just bought a 2022 (we had an '11 or something like that a while back as well), and they have improved... but, I'm the same way, Tundra is far more comfortable to be in for long durations!!

Ok, it was just weird the way you worded it that I thought there was another engine that you'd test driven.

Oh, I'm not leaving this forum. No interest in TW. @LarryDangerfield can tell me if there is anything I really need to see over there. :p

The point of going with the Pro is that I don't need to upgrade anything on the truck. I'd need a trans and gas tank skid, sliders, and a bed rack to put my tent on. Everything else would stay stock.

I'm a one dog kinda guy, and I prefer a little dog.

I might try that. There’s something about the narrowness of the cockpit area too. I rest my knee against the center console area and it’s just not the same as my truck

I'm biased but I'd always go for manual if it's an option. Also, what's MTM?

Up through i think 2018 they had a 2.0L turbo option. I know it was an option when we got the 2017

Agreed!!! The "cut" of the center console pushes my gas pedal foot inward, while my knee wants to rest outward causing aches, etc... It's the same problem I've had when trying out the Highlanders, and other smaller SUVs. Her '22 is a bit better, but for those of us that like to 'open up' on a long drive it just can't be done like it's done in the Tundra!!!

It's an amazing community with amazing people just like this one. But. There also is a lot more rude people/trolls/arguing. Definitely wayyy more active than here. I would say it's worth visiting although I understand not wanting to juggle multiple forums (as I am active everyday on 2 while mostly lurking on a 3rd lol)

If I had a commuter, 100% manual, but as this will be a single mode of transport the ease of an auto has an appeal. So do the smart handles and the remote start. Those are two features I miss from previous vehicles.

    upload_2022-9-10_17-34-20.jpg

It's the Rocks, sand, snow, etc. modes. I'm more interested in the crawl control (4-Lo cruise control with hill descent) and even more than that are the features mentioned above.

The crawl control sounds hilariously bad but if you can ignore how it sounds it's actually pretty cool. I was in a spot that at minimum would have involved wheel spin and had the possibility to have been difficult. I put it in 4low, engaged the locker, and then turned crawl control on setting 3 and it went up with legitimately no wheel spin whatsoever.

Oh, I know, but the things I did to the Tundra are only on par with what a Pro has anyway. I basically built myself a Pro. I don't want huge lifts, I regret getting wheels that have poke, I refuse to trim, and the Tundra Pro doesn't get/can't have BSM. (I'm not an electrical whiz and would never attempt your masterful install) My Tundra is, to me, the epitome of what the Tundra can be. I don't want any added lights or features. It's complete. I wish it had a locking rear diff, but I'm unwilling to add one. The Pro Taco has everything but the armor already on it, plus the rear locker. No desire to update or upgrade beyond what it is stock.

A little tip for when you definitely do 100% for sure no doubt get your TRD Pro solar octane: if the locker doesn't engage right away turning left and right while driving slowly will make it engage

I’m on my way next week to Texas to install it in another TRD Pro Tundra. If I do a couple more, I might just start making kits

That's awesome, man. For the life of me I cannot logic out why Toyota excludes it on the Tundra but has it on the Taco.
