Yeah, it's like a mild tow haul mode (they don't have an actual tow haul) I spent a fair amount of time driving around Colorado, also been to Washington (went to Seattle among other places) been to Idaho, Montana, north and south Dakota, Wyoming, utah, Nebraska, and possibly the very top of Oregon. I absolutely LOVE mountains.

    Yep, and transmission.

Did both diffs, the transfer case and pulled a sample from the tranny for analysis. Couldn’t get to the “waterline” via the fill port, so had to draw from the drain and then guesstimate how much to put back in. AF11D60D-5F93-48BD-8E3A-4BA58DC8A0E5.jpg

And you might be saying "Dang it, wish I'd gotten a Tundra since I have chit to tow..."

    Exactly!

My grandpa was a truck driver and I was very fortunate to be able to go with him so I got to do all my traveling for free although the trip where I drove all around Colorado was with my dad and that was most definitely not free.
That looks absolutely gorgeous! I so hope I get to see that color in person.

Also I could be mistaken since I am not a big Ford guy but I think there may be 6.7’s that are a different design.

Thing is, at the time I bought the Tundra my plan was to get a small travel trailer for camping. Think small R-pod with no slide out. I had a relationship goal and potential family in mind. Crewmax and a camper was the best tool for that life.

That life didn't happen. I went from thinking a RTT or a GFC was an overpriced waste. Now? I wouldn't buy a trailer to camp in for anything. The RTT is so much simpler, faster, and I've slept better in it than in any camper I've ever camped in.

The heaviest thing I tow is my utility trailer with my RZR that is altogether less than 3000 lbs.

I love the Tundra. Really do. Do I need it? Idk. Riding around in the Taco down the same trails i drove in the Tundra an hour before was an eye opener. I know it'll never tow as easy as the Tundra, but i dont push when i tow either. I cruise at 60-70 on a regular even not towing just to not deal with the "me firsts" and save a little gas.

Would downsizing do more than drop cab size for me?
All stuff I'm mulling around, but so far it makes sense. I'm sure I can't get the deal I want, so it's all idle talk.

That's awesome, man! Experience is worth some money.

Think the old non-turbo diesels from the 80’s were 6.7. Before the 7.3, 6.0, 6.5 and now the 6.7.

    I didn't know about the 6.5.

I believe the 6.0 is widely considered the worst PowerStroke but the 7.3 would have to have been a hard act to follow.

The 6.0 had a rough start, but then they redid the head or the block (can't remember) and it did pretty good. The damage was done to the label and it was replaced.

    Oh yeah.
That old GM 6.5l diesel sure was a pile of garbage, not sure if that was turbo or not.

There it is… 6.9 before the 7.3 (first n/a, then turbo). And the last International was 6.4?

My FinL had all of ‘em. There 6.9 was before my arrival. The 7.3 was fun but loud. The 6.0 ate itself when he ran biodiesel during the winter in you neck of the woods. Whoops. Can’t remember if he skipped the 6.4 or not…

Damn restaurant got me good this time, they're just trying to fancy up the menu so I don't feel bad about my decision. Putting sea in front of scallops adds at least another $5.. :(
