1st Gen. Lunch Table - General Discussion

When it happened to my s10 blazer, i hit the e-brake, and downshifted. The fender cut the tire, but i didnt break anything or fold the fender. Since it was the left bj, i was very gentle to pull to the right curb, as to not fold the tire under. Luckily there wasnt anyone coming, as i was leaving a rest area, and was only doing 60 on my way to the 75mph speedlimit.

The hardest part was dealing with the flatbed tow driver, trying to keep the tire from folding in. Gave him a $20 to take his time. The rock auto replacement was like $8, did both. Swear to god, after calling AAA, a cop showed up, and was cool to me, but when he shined his light into the back, and my dog was staring at him, he reached for his gun. Then got mad at me when i laughed.

Seeing as how I'm about to buy another battery for BOTH SHOs, I could probably use this.

 

My '78 B210 was my first car. Of course it was a little 4 banger, but the fact that it weighed next to nothing, was a stickshift, and rear wheel drive made it a blast to drive. That car was rad. All I ever did to it was slap on some plastic chrome mag hub caps, add a stereo with subs, and cover it in stickers. Cops loved me. haha

So, ive read its possible to swap an FJ j-shift manual t-case, but what about a lockable awd t-case? From a sequoia, 4runner, gx, lx whatever? Anyone seen a 4lo closer to 4:1?

Lesson learned - if you're using the cig lighter - be sure the lighter/power port is live with ignition off, otherwise that horse don't run.

made it to the Gauley. Safety talk at 6:15 in the morning, and gone paddling by 7am. This bridge across the new river gorge is cool as hell, 876 ft high and utterly impressive

 

Rafting or kayaking? Looks fun. That bridge is tall. I walked across the Hoover dam bridge and it’s way the hell up there!
