I don’t have as much invested as some of you, that got the shut down shaft two years in a row, but I’ll still be super bummed if it gets canceled.

Plan b/worst case scenarios are always good to have on the back burner. It’s not my neck or toe of the woods, so I’m also out of plan Bs

Two years ago my friends and I went to Mt Charleston in Nevada. Last year we hit Sedona AZ. This year though the way things have worked out I can’t travel that far so San G being on track was perfect. Let’s hope it stays open!

Sedona this time of year is terrible, definitely shouldn’t come! Hahah I kid, I kid!
Honestly that wouldn’t be a terrible plan b or maybe c for me.

They’re coming. They won’t reopen this year. We’ve been through this so many times before. Even when fire is out, they determine the risk vs. reward isn’t good, to reopen vastly increased the risk of more fire. Our forestry management has been so bad for so many years, and current humans are so unwilling to abide by rules, closure is the surest mitigation.

I actually called the fire line and the ranger I spoke to said it's just a matter of time and all the campgrounds will be closed. He said they won't take a chance on allowing people to be camped and have to evacuate more people than expected on the mountain or to have people "missing" out on the trails.

Gonna call and cancel the trailer. So that way if the rental place needs for someone else they can have it.
