Thinking about purchasing a Magna Flow cat back or I should say its on the LIST of purchases.

    https://www.magnaflow.com/products/...et-series-cat-back-performance-exhaust-system

Ive watched a few youtube installs and it really seems simple. What would the advantage be taking it to an exhaust shop and having it "professionally" installed? Seems like I can save some $$ on labor doing it myself.

    Am I missing something here?

If it's bolt on, and you have place where you can work on your truck then it's a no brainer . Easy job to do it yourself

Everyone’s going to recommend you to look @dirtydeeds exhaust systems and to talk to Keith about exhaust stuff first

Used to be. Things have quadrupled in price lately:(

the tundra is a different animal. Build the exhaust slightly wrong and it drives really poorly.

if you’re running stock exhaust manifolds you need:

    1. a flow thru design muffler with a smooth interior surface
    2. A smooth transition y pipe.
    3. The stock diameter tailpipe which is a really odd diameter. Only Toyota uses this size.
    4. A Helmholtz resonator so your truck doesn’t drone.

with all of the above you will gain 3-10hp and 10-20tq to the rear wheels over stock. You won’t lose any low end torque and a matter of fact you’ll gain!!You will also have the exact sound you want and have no drone inside of the cab.

call to speak directly with the engineer of your next exhaust system for your tundra.

When my exhaust was BOUGHT, I shopped around and read reviews. Ended up BUYING from Keith at DD. If I'd BUY again, nothing would change.

Another vote for Keith’s system… no drone and better performance… it’s the way to go

I installed the DD 10" system on my '18 Limited. Never installed the resonator as the drone is minimal to me. Love the sound and I like when I hammer it, not obnoxious, but just right!!

Are you in AL? I’ve got a used Magnaflow cat-back in ATL that I would let go of pretty cheap.

^ The ONLY option for Tundra exhaust..

I had a Magnaflow first and it had the drone from hell.
Ended up buying from DDs and all is well.

Plus, if you buy from Keith and feel the sound is too loud or too quiet, he will swap it for another as long as you pay to ship both ways.
Magnaflow will not give you that guarantee...

I had just the muffler and after 3 months I finally just went back to stock bc the drone was annoying

some people may be ok with that but when trying to talk to my wife or kid I could barely converse with them!

I spoke to @dirtydeeds and he was super helpful. I haven't pulled the trigger yet because he gives too many options. lol
Well, that and it costs money.
