axle is dropped out of hub, I have a new boot/grease/clamps.
how do you get that outer axle apart to get new boot on?
I'm not able to find a diagram for axle disassembly??

ply it out from diff, hold it with a vise and use a 2lbs sledge to hit it out or with brass punch if you don't know where to hit.

so, remove whole axle assembly, disassemble completely?
    guessing I'll need both boots.

You talking about the front CV boot right???
You only need to hit the side that’s broken

Yes, front left to be exact, was thinking once out of hub it would come apart to get replacement boot on, re assemble and put everything back together.
just bought truck used, ordering repair manual, looks like I'll need it.

inner boot is fine, looks like there was a repair before I bought truck, both boots new.
Outer boot blew grease out, thought this may be an easy fix with a new boot, grease, clamps
