Hello friends. I recently converted to a tundra from being a Chevy fan boy for the last ten years. So I have a 2018 tundra sr5. I have the remote start. I click lock three times and it will start my truck. But then I can’t unlock my truck. I walk right up to it and press unlock and nothing. I have to unlock it by putting the key in the door. And also I can’t figure out out to turn it off. Like on my chevys I had a remote start button. I press it to turn the truck off and I could unlock the doors with the fob and stuff. Please help

Not sure you can turn the truck off with the remote. Lock/unlock should work. Does lock and unlock work correctly when you are in the truck and using the buttons on the doors? If not, you have a lock actuator issue. Actuator may need to be replaced, wiring issue or the actuator has become unplugged.

Something is definitely not right. It sounds like it's starting okay, but it should turn off when you unlock the truck. Something is wrong if you can't even unlock it.

Yeah the lock unlock works fine on the fob normally. Just when I try to unlock it after I do the remote start it won’t unlock I have to put the key in the door

You probably have an aftermarket remote start kit on your truck. The oem remote start shuts off the truck right when you click the unlock button.

How old is the battery? Often I see remote start/lock issues being related to a bad battery. Ask me how I know...

Are you sure it’s stock? I know with the aftermarket Start X remote starter you won’t be able to use the fob to unlock if the TPMS harness isn’t hooked up correctly.
