    Good 5.7 Liter Teardown Video.
Engine supposed to be bullet proof ?
Watch to find out what caused the failure.
It gave me new appreciation for the 5.7 Liter in my 2018.
I like his helmet face protection at 12 minute mark when removing timing chain tensioners.

That was enjoyable to watch. Shows where the AIP valves are too.

When I saw this was 36 minutes, I thought there is no way I'm watching all of this.
Then I started it and watched the entire thing..:D

I love knowing how things work and are assembled.
Just about every firearm I've ever owned, I stripped down to the frame and put it back together.
I've also taken stuff apart that was broken, just to see how it worked..

    Thanks for posting..

    great video.

#1. An overall appalling lack of maintenance. There was an already failed con rod bearing in an adjacent cylinder and the mains were not far behind. The oil pan was the clincher for me. Looked like mud.
#2. The failed valve spring. Not sure if this was a reman engine or one with tons of miles on it. It could be a simple case of fatigue. However we have had a member that had spit a roller follower out on a very low mile engine. It caused some check engine lights for cam timing. The engine ran "ok". IIRC oil type was suspect and may have caused loss of pressure in a lifter. Either way I wonder if the oil condition here may have caused a loss of lifter performance and the follower spit out and the owner/operator kept running it.
