That is pretty bad, you seem to be having a tough time punishing those sinful dead dinosaurs at an acceptable rate. The good news is I think I can help you to achieve the fuel consumption you’re looking for.

1.) Drive faster whenever possible. I know it’s not always practical but increasing speed will help you burn more fuel, you’ve observed this already. Now it is time to turn it up, for example try 90-95 MPH.

2.) When you can’t go 95 MPH manually select a gear that puts engine speeds at a similar RPM.

3.) Remember at stop lights that everyone wants to race you. Drive accordingly. This has the added benefit of exerting your dominance.

4.) Let your new truck idle more, in fact try letting it just idle overnight in the winter. You’re a busy guy and can’t be wasting time waiting for it to warm up, defrost a windshield or remove snow.

5.) Add more weight. You mentioned your wife is a large gal. If she has any bigguns for friends pick them up for nights out on the town.

There are so many more ways to do this, don’t be afraid to experiment. Just remember dinosaurs were very naughty, and that is why they were smote by God. They were so sinful and deviant that they have to be punished again in the fiery depths of internal combustion. It is our duty to see his will be done!
