I put some MP3 files onto a USB drive that is partitioned to 20GB and formatted to FAT32 and the files are in a folder.

My truck sees the USB, the folder name and even the names of the songs but it doesn't play them. When I select a song it shows the play button at the bottom along with the repeat and random buttons but the rest is blank. When I hit play it flashes the 3/10 showing the number of the track but nothing? I am wondering if I have the wrong format, wrong tags, wrong sized USB or type? The MP3's play OK on my PC. Thank you for any help.

Is the volume setting muted? The stock radios have a different volume setting for every source it seems

No, I turned it up and the volume level shows up and is 1/2 way.

I also believe the entire USB can only be a certain storage size.

SOLVED: I was able to figure it out this AM and the issue was the format of my MP3's was wrong or it didnt like something about them. I used a converter to re-rip them and now it works. I think what I had before had the tags ripped out of them and it didn't know what they were supposed to be. Now I need to fix up my entire music library and save off my ipod tunes and put them on USB.

I just used an online one where I uploaded them and then downloaded them. I am sure the quality is poor but with my stock speakers and old ears it still works for me.
