You can try Chemical guys, or PandS water spot removers. The best way is to use a light finishing polish and a dual action polisher. Wont need to be to aggressive toyota paint is soft.

Did you get splattered by a cement mixer? I've never had a problem just washing my vehicle to remove water spots. That is if it's just light mineral deposits from hard water.

If it's mineral deposits do you really want to use a buffer and rub that into the paint?

I dont know his situation, but usually its from a sprinkler and it etches the paint. So you wash the area and lightly polish out the etching. That's how most pro detailers go about it.

You might try a wax job first. They etching may be shallow enough that the wax will fill it. I have seen this etching before but only on an unwaxed surface. My 21 SR5 has bug etching from our first trip out without having the new paint protected from wax. Had I know in two days time bugsplat would leave a permanent gravestone on my new paint I would have washed it off as soon as I noticed it.

The couple of spots left behind from an incomplete squeegee/chamois are taken care of (as far as I’m concerned) with meguiars spray wax (purple/burgundy bottle) and a couple of microfiber towels.

When I wash my truck at home, I use this on the glass and body.

Sorry I should have been more clear .. I recently did the dumb mistake of rinsing the truck down and letting it air dry on a hot day. When washing the truck I've noticed water spots on the hood and on all windows. The body isn't really my concern it's the windows. Is that meguiars Safe for glass ?

Yes good for glass, like you my house water leaves spots. Meguiars works on glass and paint. After I wipe the glass I follow up with glass cleaner to wipe off any residue.

If you start using RainX and keeping glasses clean. Water will bead and run off easy.

Yeah lesson learn. When I get the truck back from the dealer I'm going to get it ceramic coated for the PNW winter
