When I brought my 07 it had a spacer lift front and back. After one of the front shocks went out, I replaced all the shocks with OME and ditched the front spacers. Well, I've been tired of dragging my trailer hitch across everything off road. So, it was finally time add a little more to the back end.
I don't tow, but do have a snugtop topper, sleeping platform and basic tool set/recovery gear-that is almost always on my truck. I wanted to ditch those lift blocks and new springs weren't really in the budget. So, I was going to order the 3 leaf aal from toytec. But, decided to check with Alcan first. They are local to me, so no shipping.
The guys down there were great to talk with and knew their stuff. They actually had a set of 3 leaf aal's instock along with 1/2" to 1" lift shackles. Then made me set of ubolts and got me on the road.
I installed the aal's with the stock overloads still in and the shackles at 1" of lift. The truck rides a bit stiffer, but actually feels pretty good driving. I haven't had a chance to really push these off road yet. But will report back after some miles and settling. All in all I'm 2" over where it was with the lift blocks installed.

I thought I had taken a before photo, but must have deleted by accident.
