in the sf bay area, i only know of two msrp dealers and their allocations are always claimed before they're even posted so im sure they have a long wait list. those two are sunnyvale toyota and one toyota oakland. but i believe oakland charges an ma for the pro. i have a 22 platinum gasser and am on the wait list for a pro at sunnyvale for giggles. there are 41 people ahead of me so they were saying 1-3yrs out. lol. word!!

im fortunate to pretty much not have waited at all compared to most others.

saw an allocation posted on a dealers site in late Dec 2021....same place i bought my 08 from 14yrs ago. called them and they said it was unclaimed. quickly went there and signed a purchase agreement for the temp vin and put a deposit down. when i got home i checked their site again and the truck was gone so i knew it was mine. build date of jan 3, then jan 6 finally built jan 12. it arrived from freight Feb 3 so it was really only about 1 month + wait. i've been enjoying it since.

The only thing special about the price is the ass fucking it comes with. No i did not accept the offer.

Just really mad because I was told over and over MSRP but i never got it in writing when i should have. Then got that price, my C8 and GTR were cheaper than that.

I am in San Mateo and I hear you but I know a few dealers in the Bay Area that are at MSRP, one of them being the closest one to me in Redwood City but they are a smaller dealership so it may take longer for them to get an allocation request filled but I guess we will see because I am going to put a deposit down with them tomorrow…

There is hope! Just got an update today. Had my name on the dealer's list August 23, 2021 - my truck has been built and is on it's way to me in Alberta. Delivery window is end of Sep/Early Oct.

Interestingly enough, a friend of mine let me know that I could walk to the 3,400+ km San Antonio a day quicker than my truck is expected to arrive here...

I put a request for a limited crew max with a 6 1/2 foot bed back in February, dealer just told me they should have it first week in October.
    Fingers crossed

I'm coming up on a year from putting down $1000 on a $5k over MSRP TRD Pro. I feel silly for paying that but maybe I'll never get the chance. I wish I liked other trucks as much as the Toyota. Maybe the '23 Ram refresh will tempt me.

I lucked out, my buddy works at the dealer. He called me the day they were allowed to place orders in November, I took 1 day to decide on colour and options and sent it to him the next day. My truck landed at the dealer Feb 3.. one day of waiting change delivery by 3 weeks, from first truck ordered to mine.

Still waiting with no end in sight at Longo Toyota they said they are getting way more short beds then the 6.5 and even tried to get me to change but I declined, want a “long” bed placed deposit in October of last year. I live in the Central Valley (Fresno area) and everywhere else that’s msrp won’t do it because I’m not local to them.

I much preferred the 6.5 ft bed but let the salesman know I was willing to go with the 5.5 if that came up sooner. Fortunately, I ended up with the 6.5 and I'm glad it ended up that way. Picking it up on Saturday after having had a deposit down since the first week of January. Keep holding out
