I find it hard to believe it's that small of a change, it's a heavy truck but shit we're increasing the horsepower by 35-50%.

    Before supercharger, 0-100kmh was about mid 7s, that's gears/headers/35s and a tune.

Do keep in mind John mentioned that I'm nearing maxing out the fuel pump, he thinks there's more power and speed once I decide to upgrade the pump, which I most likely will.

Stock seems to be about 6.6 blown runs seem to gravitate around 5.5. Lots of other variable such as mods so it is hard to normalize :notsure:

Indeed, lots of variables. I'm just trying to placebo effect myself to go faster, since if downy can't beat 5s there's no fucking way I can

Traction and transmission seems to be an issue too but lots of folks are running bigger tires etc

Well if he's near maxing the pump his tune might be more conservative. So we shall see once we run ours lol

When I've done my previous "tests" I just used a 0-60 app on the phone. I'm awaiting boarding so I am slowly getting closer to the tundra :D

I used one of those apps that uses the phones GPS signal, and it was overly optimistic….when it decided to even work. Dragy brings you down to earth. When I did the old record the speedo with the camera and then use a stopwatch method I was in the same neighborhood as my dragy runs. 4.8-5.2 seconds. Waiting for some cooler weather to try again….Boost season.

I’d also say, the 0-60 is a poor indicator on how much faster it truly is that not supercharged. It takes a lot to get a 6k+ lb truck to boogey off the line. 1-1.5 seconds quicker to 60 is substantial. It also translates to 2.5-3 seconds in a quarter mile, and about 15mph higher trap speed. In racing, that’s a colossal difference.

Agree. I think that is it right there. I would add knobby offroad tires don't have the best road performance.

Tundra is a big boned girl but she can move! I'm impressed by the times folks are posting considering the weight people are typically carrying.

Do it. This thread basically started since no 2019+ tuning options existed at the time. That is no longer a problem with several option for the 2020s

I need to. Between 37's and all the extra added weight she needs an extra spark .Do you guys have preferred vendors or installers in So Cal by any chance?

Compare 5.29s if you don't have those yet. About half the price, roughly the same performance increase imo, and will drop the stresses of everything up stream of the differentials.

I'm heading to the drag strip in a couple of weeks, definitely going to be less than 7000lbs, hoping to weight in at 6500lbs, will probably tow my travel trailer there and park it for the day lol.

I barely ate breakfast today, so I saved 5lbs

The install is really straight forward, even for Harrops, if I was to do it again, I'd add bigger pump into the mix, or just go for Harrops stage 2 at first shot.

Gotta love OEM installs, I think the hardest part was dropping the tank to install the pump, even then it wen rather smooth, not like how some older domestic pumps would literately break into pieces the moment you try to take it apart.

I def think she's got more in it. Road was far from flat and cooler temps would be nice.

Stop watched the video and got 6.33

Also, is your Speedo calibrated for the 37s? Timing it the way I was timing mine it looks like 6.3s to indicated 60, and 5.5 to indicated 55 which may actually be 60 if your Speedo isn’t calibrated.
