2015 Tundra digital speedometer flashes faster/ slower with RPMs

Truck has about 125k miles. Last January the digital read out section of the dash cluster (pic attached) began to flash. Interestingly, the flashing moves in concert with RPMs. As the RPMs increase the digital display flashes faster and as RPMs slow so follows the flash. The flashing stops at a stand still. Apologies in advance if discussed previously. Looking for any guidance as truck has been at the shop for 2 months and no resolution to date.
