Thought I would post my experience with Nitto RG because like me, a lot of folks are always curious how long tires will last etc. 295/65r/20

I installed RG's on my 2014 CrewMax in 2018 at 66,680 miles. I went with these tires due to recommendation from off-road shop and my research. The looks were what I was going for at the time as well.

I put all highway miles on this set of tires. I ran these tires from 2018-2022 with no issues. I just replaced them at 123,346 miles. So I got 55,666 miles out of the RGs.

They were a little noisy at highway speeds though nothing too bothersome. They aren't installed on a luxury vehicle plus they are AT tires, not touring.

The only mistake I made was having them aligned ONCE at a non off-road shop. They obviously did not know how to align bigger tires and essentially forced/pulled by right UCA in place to compensate for them not having the knowledge on how to align. My suggestion would be to take your truck to a shop with techs who know how to align and balance big tires. This over correction with my right front UCA cause the one tire to have uneven wear uneven. I went to a discount tire store and regret it. I was told this when I first installed them, and I didn't listen, now paying the price. Don't do it.

I replaced the RGs with 35x12.5x20 Falken WildPeaks A/T3W. Not because I didn't like the RG's only because I read great reviews of the WPs. I chose Falken over BFG and Toyo. Will keep you posted on their performance. Again, highway miles.

Hope this helps someone contemplating new kicks.

Thanks for sharing. Let us know how those Wildpeaks work out…I’m about ready to get new tires, and looking for an A/T tire with great rain performance on pavement, as our Tundras get assy when accelerating from a stoplight while turning (even with a light foot). My current set of Toyo AT2’s lasted a long time and weren’t too noisy on the pavement until end of life, but don’t perform well in the rain like I heard the Wildpeaks do.

@WarDamnTundra How have the Wildpeaks held up? How do you like them compared to the ridge grapplers?

I'm curious why you regret Discount Tire.

I've had nothing but good luck dealing with them.

I think you will like the Wildpeaks.

I'm at 68K miles and they are still hanging in there.

I plan on replacing them in a month or so, because I have some long trips planned for this summer. Otherwise, I think I could get another 10k out of them. They did get pretty noisy as they got older, though.

I mean, the Wildpeaks IMHO weren't what I'd call 'great' in the rain, but I can tell you that they were far better than most other tires I've driven.

The WP have been a little meh. Ever since installing them I can't seem to get the front end balanced. Im not sure if its the tires or what. I do not like the look of them on the truck compared to the Nittos. They seem to handle really well in the rain. I have about 10K on them.

As far as the balancing, the WP I currently have are 12 ply as opposed to the 10ply I had with the Nittos. Maybe that has something to do with it?

If I had to do it over I would go with Nitto, if nothing else, for the look.
