Hi All-Need help. I test drive a new 2022 Tundra SR5 and it seemed to be shifting a bit hard in the lower gears. Is that normal or should it be completely smooth?

    Thanks very much.

Mine shifts smooth from start to finish. Most of the time it's not even noticeable unless I'm looking at the gauge

My transmission is crazy smooth. Feels like one long gear tbh lol.

I am the exact same… I can hear it and see it.. but my butt doesn’t feel it. It’s wonderful!

How many miles were on it? It has a self learning transmission and it can take some time for it to dial in its compensation codes.

Says test drive new 2022.. don’t imagine it had hardly any on it except for other test pilots holding it to the floor no doubt.

Yeah, I'd assume that has something to do with it. I just had my transmission replaced and the engineers said it might feel "off" for a little bit as it learned my driving.

Thanks all. It is a 2022 (so new), but has 600 miles on it. it's the low gears maybe 1-5/6 I'd guess that shift on the harder side. Not terrible, but noticeable versus other vehicles. Appreciate you all commenting.
