I'm the minority. I like all of TFL's content.

Toyota isn’t perfect. Statistically I have the best chance of not having to deal with issues. But I’m well aware that they do occur. I expect completely boring reliability for the entirety of my ownership of this truck, regardless of how long that is.
If the 3rd gen looks like it’s not any less buggy than the rest of the segment over the next few to several years (which I do not expect), I may get into a lower-trim domestic HD and daily an older Lexus sedan. The @ColoradoTJ method, haha.

I've thought most of their stuff was a joke, too. :notsure: I haven't watched any recent vids. They lost me years ago with the F150 FX4 vs Toyota TRD Pro off-roading video. That video is such a complete joke.

I guess I did see a Sweers interview regarding the 3rd gen. Not too bad. I try to avoid their videos. Truck King is far more informative. I'm generally not eagerly awaiting truck videos from anyone on YouTube, though.

    Hi Roman!

I stand by my statement, TFL doesn't know anything about using trucks for truck stuff and are too easily wooed by flashy doodads.

You're obviously ignorant. TFL does HD towing tests loaded up to 15k lbs with 1-tons on the Ike Gauntlet. Try paying attention sometimes, it works to dispel ignorance.

If you try paying attention, you'll notice in my original post I mentioned that the Ike tests are among the few videos TFL has that are ok.

Comparing and contrasting actually benefits some people on the fence between the two. You don't like the thread, don't click on it. Problem solved.

    F150 Lightning review.
I joke with my daughter that her cell phone is too big.
I am the guy that had the original best business cell phone from that once great Canadian company Blackberry. 8^0
Well this F150 has the biggest cell phone now !
Review for those highway commuters that might have a .......sports car in the garage ?
    Remember its 6000 lbs.

6800 lbs I think. Unless maybe a pro with the shorter range battery is that much lighter. I know TFL scaled theirs and it was almost exactly 6800.

I quoted the fellow in the video.
6000 or 6800 - does it really actually matter? Did you see what it did with the traction control off.
Ridiculous ......if it all works and keeps working....

One of the best videos they did was with Andre's F150 overheating on Vail Pass. Vail is more difficult in some ways than Ike. Not as steep, but a longer climb and descent. Two lane, Ike is three lane.

TFL did a Silverado tow test overheating towing in the Boulder area. There's a lot of good content on the channel if you choose to look at it. Their '22 Tundra testing was impressive.

You should explain more good things about the channel to the guy that mentioned the good things he likes about the channel.

Defending a YouTube channel seems overly important to you. To the point of being irrational. To be honest it’s a bit off-putting.

Tundra is being shipped. I couldn’t find a pro in Texas under $90k. So this is coming from Michigan.

The pro was supposed to arrive first, and I was going to drive that to pickup the Lightning.

Powerboosts are legit. It was the first one I test drove when I was ordering an F150. But The cost difference between the V8 and PB was $3k so I stuck with the V8. Engine asside, the transmissions are the same and I didn't like their 10 speed. I put 3k miles on my F150, and it included a flash at 2200 and it still never learned like others have claimed. Smooth for the most part but downhill deacceleration and uphill driving were pretty clunky.

One of my employees has a PowerBoost Lariat FX4. I only drove it about 30 miles, but didn’t have the transmission issues others have experienced.

To be honest, I think it’s currently the best motor available. It flat FLYS, has loads of torque, quiet, and great overall fuel economy.

Coupled with the on board power, flat floor back seat, and automatic 4x4, it is a seriously impressive truck.

It did not ride or sound as nice as my 2020 Ram work truck, feels “big” to drive, and still using a wire whip antenna is infuriating to me on such an expensive truck. But those were about the only negatives I found in my 30 or so miles in it.

My pocketbook is seriously thankful they don’t make a Tremor with the PowerBoost motor.
