Well a recent side wall puncture has me considering just making the jump to 35's or close to it.
Truck currently has TRD Pro suspension on 275/70/18s and it does great, but I would love some more clearance and rubber.

    Considering:
Installing Coach Builder shims up front for another 1", gonna need diff drop?
Coach builder rear shackles +2 which gives 1.25 rear lift, carrier bearing drop kit
285/75/18s or just good ole 35s

    UCAs?

I use my truck primarily for off road camping trips and carry around 500lbs in the bed with rack, RTT and gear.

Just looking to get some thoughts on the planned adjustments.

I would go 285/75, much easier to fit than 35x1250 and they have all the benefits of a larger tire without the fitment headaches of 1250 wide tires.

Since you run around loaded, I would skip the shackles and install heavy duty RAS, which will better support hauling and towing loads, support the soft factory leafs and not have a negative impact on ride. It will lift the rear 1-1.25, maybe 1.5 if set with the black disk. You will probably need a carrier bearing spacer for any lift on the rear. No need for UCA on your setup, you should align and truck fine but you can always add them anytime to tune/better align or move the front tires around a bit for clearance.

Thank you for the tips here. Planning on the 285/75 route and looking into RAS.

    Update:

discount tire is covering my tire under warranty and swapping my fresh full size spare to run 2 new in the rear. Front tires will have 8/32 left. This should be fine for another ten thousand miles?
