100% accurate, thanks for your opinion on the subject. We had a local restaurant we all loved just close down the other day because of inflation. The thing is they were almost half the price of other restaurants in town, they could have easily went up on their price and still been quite a bit cheaper than anyone else. When they told us they were closing we asked why they didn't go that route and the response was.."we couldn't see raising prices on our loyal customers". I get that but now you have a whole restaurant staff that has no job so which is the worst outcome. Hard to say what is the right decision because either way you will be criticized for it these days. Raise prices and most people understand its temporary and based on the current economic climate and will choose either A) decide they can't afford or agree to the price change and they will cut it out for a while until prices come back down or B) they will understand what is going on and continue to do business with you knowing you're still the cheapest in town. I will say in this case they were one of those hole in the wall diners that has the best food too...such a shame.

@mike220022 I for one appreciate your input and experience. Anybody can chastise and play the I would be better than that card, well they are full of it too. Too much nonsense thrown your way ,just because you fall under a perceived practice.

Spare me with the pity party. You were not being attacked until I said you are full of shit which I still believe. You are now judging me. Quit being a hypocrite.
The argument was that essentially most dealers are shady and the premiums being asked aren’t necessary. You took upon yourself to explain that you’re honest Abe. Good for you.

You attacked Tesla. I posted a report. You claimed the report is invalid. Well, back up your claims. Post a link.

Furthermore, you quoted me on my use of “your vs you’re”. Have you taken the time to look at all of the grammatical errors in YOUR posts?

Don’t act like you’re innocent. It’s not a good look.

Damn, what’s with you? You must have had an extremely traumatic dealership experience for you to respond with such venom. Going through life with that much anger isn’t healthy……..and certainly not a good look towards someone who has been very helpful to forum members.

I am sure he can…..my comments weren’t to defend him. It was to question the manner in which you decided to lash out at a member here who has been very helpful. Just because he is a dealer doesn’t mean he is a piece of shit - those two things can be mutually exclusive no matter how you feel.

Ok apologies, you are correct. You said that dealers operate to perform “dishonest money grabs”, called them “unethical scum bags” and that you can “sniff out his bull shit”. I have differing opinions of the dealership that I have used - KNOWING FULL WELL that they operate to run a business and turn a profit; not take care of my snowflake feelings and cry about it on a public forum.

Some (probably most) dealerships operate in ways that maximize profits and partake in shady operations. I know doctors who do the same. I don’t go to those dealerships or those doctors and choose to take my business where I am treated better. I don’t know @mike220022 personally at all, but the way he has conducted himself to date and helped forum members allows me to give him the benefit of the doubt and not assume……..because you know what that does.

Well Sean, the beauty of a forum is their will be differing opinions. My opinion is that most dealers in some way operate unethically. That is what I believe. If I want to express that under a post alluding to that I’m free to. If you don’t like it, so be it. But, Mike doesn’t need a bodyguard. Let Mike handle his business or bud out.
Oh wait, I forgot, this is a forum where you are free to respond and voice your opinion.

I can promise you this is not my business. I have much better things going on in my life than to deal with someone that chooses to ignorantly judge me based on experiences they have apparently had with people that Ive never associated myself with.

This will be my last comment on the matter, I promise.

    It's Shawn......and I think you meant "butt out".......but I digress.

And I have no issue with you believing that most dealers in some way operate unethically. My issue is with you spewing some misguided projected bull shit towards a contributing forum member. It does, however, make you look like an angry, petulant little child when you do it in a way that lumps them all into the same category. MOST lawyers are thought of in the same way. My brothers father in law is a lawyer who has done more gratis work for poor people in his lifetime than most can comprehend. The amount of money he has lost doing this could propel most into early retirement. If someone were to say all lawyers are "full of shit, unethical scum bags who are only after money grabs", I would politely remind them that I don't believe that to be the case. Similar to the way I have responded to you - I don't believe, in my admittedly small sample size, that @mike220022 has operated in any way that equates to your opinion of dealers..........nothing more and nothing less. Being angry for no apparent reason is not a way I choose to live my life, but you do you.
