A few days ago I took a short drive of 25 miles or so and when I returned home and shut my 2011 5.7 Tundra off I noticed whitish smoke or vapor coming from the engine compartment for a very brief period of time. Popped the hood and noticed nothing unusual, no wet spots around radiator, hoses, under the truck, nothing. Coolant was low in the expansion tank but radiator was full. New water pump installed and system pressure tested at Toyota two months ago with no leaks indicated. Truck only driven 200 miles or so since then. I filled the expansion tank to the full mark with Toyota premixed coolant and ran the truck up to operating temperature in the driveway (twice). I observed no steam, smoke, water marks and there has been no coolant loss each time.

Any thoughts or anecdotes as to where to proceed from here would be appreciated!

Take it back to whoever replaced your water pump and have them inspect it.
