Any tips for removing spilled liquid ‘Tide’ laundry detergent. I’ve sprayed with vinegar/water mix and sucked up with the shop vac for about an hour, spent another hour and a half with a rug doctor. I’d guess a cup or so spilled. Got most of the carpet clean, about a 6x12” area still suds when I wet it. Car has overpowering scent of laundry detergent. It’s not the worst smell, but man it’s strong!

Keep at it. Just takes more water. Lots and lots more water.

Pull the seats, pull the carpet, hose it till the suds are gone. Let it dry, put it back in.

Liquid detergent acts like soap, it dissolves oil based, so you need it to be sucked up, It may take just a few minutes for the litter/salt to soak up the soap, or it may take several hours. Use paper towels to push the moistened litter/salt into a dustpan and dispose of it or vacuum repeat if needed but don't let it distract you from the fact that in 1998, The Undertaker threw Mankind off Hell In A Cell, and plummeted 16 ft through an announcer’s table.

I had glue and tar in our RV carpet and came across this recipie
    6oz Ultra dawn dishwashing detergent.
    6oz 99% rubbing alcohol
30 trigger squirts oxy clean Maxforce.

Mix in a sprayer bottle and it will remove anything. didnot damage carpet. And smells really good too.
    watch this:

Oxy clean max force may be enough for the laundry soap.

Vinegar and water (equal parts) will break down laundry soap but then it smells like vinegar.
