Has anyone added bedlamps to their truck?

There are two things I regret not being able to get on my Tundra. The digital rear view mirror and the bed lamps. Has anyone tried adding bed lamps to their 2022 Tundra? For reference I'm talking about these. I want to do add the stock lights, but am looking for a guide on how to do it.

 

You can do it but I’d say bang for your buck is an LED strips. I have the bed lights and still wanted more brightness. You can see the cut out for the originals in my photos, I used the existing wire for my LED strips. You’d have to tag into the trailer wire power or route power from some other system on your truck like the tail gate switch or something. LED’s barely use any power

I agree that LEDs are probably your best bet, unless you have a specific task which requires something different. Not a 3rd Gen, but I did the Matt Geckos on my 2010. His stuff is great.

 

I like the idea of the Matt Gecko LEDs @TravisJr. I might see if I can augment it to work with a magnetic tail gate switch like Chris fix uses. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77t1UW4Qc7g&t=2s

What did you stick them to?
The bottom of the bed rail?

 

Yes. The LED strips are on all three sides, the bed box just blocks most of the light from the strip by the cab. Wired it all to a waterproof toggle near the tailgate. Super easy.
