I did something really dumb. I sprayed a mixture of degreaser and water on my windshield to loosen up the bugs from our summer road trip. I didn’t get around to washing the truck that day and it sat in the hot sun. When I washed it the next day, the truck turned out great but the windshield is so messed up. The residue won’t come off with a normal glass cleaner. I got some glass clay and that didn’t work either. What should I do? Thanks and I know I’m an idiot.

    It's good
Single edge razor blade works wonders on glass. Be slow and lube it with glass cleaner or something.

Barkeepers Friend (liquid). I haven’t seen anything it won’t get off of glass yet and can be found at Walmart or a grocery store. Just don’t get it on the paint.

More degreaser? I'd hesitate to use anything abrasive until a last resort.

Vinegar, baking soda and a razor got most of it off. I’ll try some more degreaser and bar keepers friend this weekend. Thanks for all the replies!
