    Hi all,

Picked up my first Tundra this week in the Pittsburgh area. It's a 2016 1794 Crewmax and so far I'm super happy, never thought I'd buy a used car with 108k miles. It had sat on a dealer lot since March and I feel like I got at least a fair deal on it. Long term the hope is to tow a boat if I can ever find one I'm happy with. Plans so far:

    • Lots of cleaning, I was very unimpressed with the dealer's "detail", need to get a stain out of the drivers seat (pictured)
    • Tires and an alignment this week, the existing goodyears barely squeaked by PA inspection. Going with stock size defender LTX M/S
    • Need to pull off the side steps, I don't like them and while the truck is fairly rust free they are getting crusty
    • Ordered some husky floor liners
    • Need to pull the broken antenna out and install a new one
    • The selling dealer put 5w20 synthetic blend in so that is getting replaced
    • Probably going to decide on a carplay friendly head unit

Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)! I hope you got a good price, and that you can get those issues resolved.

Thanks! I hesitate to say any used vehicle is a good price right now, but it would be cheaper than the cheapest 2016+ 1794 with under 150k miles in the country listed on cars.com at the moment. Luckily nothing is serious and the maintenance history is extremely thorough and by the book.

That maintenance history is definitely worth something. I'm just glad I'm not in the market right now.

Yeah I do think the market is getting a little better, the dealer was actually willing to haggle on this one, it's still ended up probably 10k overpriced from what it would be in a non-covid normal supply chain world. But I've got a record of every major service and oil change and they were all done at Toyota dealers.
