2006 tundra double cab. Driver seat warmer feels like it’s permanently stuck on. Have tried removing the fuse for the seat heater, and I see my switches to turn on the seat warmer no longer light up. But every time I drive for more than 5 min my seat feels hot. Am I going insane? Is it potentially hard wired? Somebody help me!

Could unplug the harness under the seat to find out for sure.

There are 2 fuses for seat heater circuit....10A for seat heater relay and a 15A that let's current pass thru seat heater relay contacts when relay energized.
Along with @NickB_01TRD suggestion, consider unplugging driver seat heater sw. If seat no longer gets warm, the switch contacts are either welded closed or switch has caused contacts to pass current when it shouldn't.
Continuity test with VOM of switch would confirm.

    Pretty things
Do you have an unusually "hot ass"?
Like regularly??? I was born without. Luckily this means I don't need butt warmers.

Your 1st Gen is pretty hot. Just saying

I would definitely follow the previous advice and do some investigating. Nobody want their seat to become ensconced in flames... When their in it.

Since you removed the fuse and the switch no longer illuminates, then my money is on insanity.

I had the extraordinarily hot ass problem in a Volvo once except when the seat heater was on low, not off. That turned out to be a short of some sort. All the in/out over the years and thosse wires eventually gave way. Since you said 2006, perhaps your situation is similar?

The seat definitely was not as hot removing the second fuse. So it sounds like the switch is getting power when it should not be.

How would I do this test? I’m tempted to just cut the wiring and cap it off to just be done with it.

Unplug the electrical connector under the seat however many there may be and see what that gives you.
