I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue.

The ball mount I got for my tundra just barely slides in, it takes some wiggling, the tolerances are very small.

I got a hitch riser to accommodate for some of the sag and it just won't slide in. The hitch riser measures 2" exactly with a tape measure.

Measuring the interior of my tundras hitch receiver, it's like it tapers slightly down about 1/16th of an inch or so.

Is anyone else having issues with their hitch receiver being too tight?

I initially thought this was a manufacturing issue with the ball mounts / the riser. But now I'm wondering if it's a problem with the hitch receiver part Toyota is using.

That's the way it's supposed to be. Play with it a bit first and it loosens up.

No. The riser (that does not fit) is a GEN-Y gh-340, and the ball mount (that just barely fits) is a Reese.

I did not have that issue but I did have an issue trying to use a locking receiver hitch pin. I tried a Warn that I had lying around and it was too tight/short. I then purchased a Rhino locking pin and it was also too short, just barely. Wtf? Anyone else having THIS issue?

Yes this was my first problem. The only one I found at the locals parts store long enough was this Master Lock pivoting hitch pin.

Had the same issue with the locking pin from HF being too short but found one at Lowes with room to spare.

I bought the rhino locking pin and wrestled with for like 10 minutes just last night with the lock on passenger side and it didn’t work, finally came up with the dumb idea of pushing the pin through the passenger side and lock on driver side and it worked perfectly. Locked and left without inspection as to why since it was dark out.

I have been using a Ball Mount that has a SOLID 2" Shank from Andersen hitches and it slides in easily, as does the NON locking hitch pin, with plenty of length.
