Can the blackout emblems/overlays scratch paint?

I purchased some overlays from the link below:

Said genuine oem but I am starting to think otherwise. The chrome is exposed on some and on others they touch the paint. Worried this might end up jacking up the paint around those edges over time. Thoughts?
