If it isn't leaking then it shouldn't need any. It's a relatively complicated process of getting the trans up to temperature and then all that you can prove is if it's overfilled since there's no conventional dipstick. There's some youtube videos if you search change tranny fluid.

Yeah so how many miles does your truck have? Do you know of the tranny fluid was flushed before? If not you may have to do a full tranny fluid drain and fill. Which is a little complicated but doable. Tranny fluid should be changed every 60k miles. Sooner maybe if you tow big stuff more often.

Also make sure you use the Toyota OEM WS tranny fluid. That's the only fluid that I would put in the transmission. It's a little expensive but it's OEM standard. Like the whole drain and fill should cost you about 60 bucks I think if I remember correctly.

I started doing a tranny fluid drain and flush but when I opened up my drain plug I got clean cherry red fluid smells sweetish as well. Which indicates to me that tranny fluid was in good condition. So I didn't replace it.

BTW. If you drop the pan and things go bad (broken bolt). This guys advice is a life saver. Especially the chiseling out the bolt portion.
    You have been warned.
