Has anyone done there own install of the wescott kit?

Any issues compressing the springs on trd models?

Any other issues people ran into?

Looking to do mine as well. I’m out of state at the moment but I threw it in the truck “just in case” I had a chance at my dad’s shop this weekend. lol

Here is a quick vid if you haven’t already watched. Biggest thing of course is marking your springs and having a set of spring compressors.

I had some spring compressors I used on my tacoma. They are to small and you can't torque them enough to compress the tundra springs. I tried all the auto part stores in my area and no one had any bigger than mine. Some people have even tried the ones used in the tutorial video Wescott put up and also had problems. I suggest taking them into a place with a wall mounted spring compressor. You can take the whole coilover koff pretty easy and take it to suspension shop and have them assemble them in a an hour if you can afford to have your vehicle out for a day and have a spare.

I have a TRD Sport. I tried to do mine with spring compressors they use in the install video and it was a no go. I then went to a couple shops and they could not get them to compress enough. One shop even bent the fingers on the wall mounted spring compressor trying. I decided the ride was going to be to rough if it had to be compressed so much and got the pro-comp kit. The truck ides so much better now. F9E79513-8664-41FD-86FF-F4FA39C1325A.jpg

What suspension mod and tires are you using? I just got the exact truck (TRD Sport) but in 4x2 and am looking to put something a bit more aggressive looking on than the stock tire set up. Those tires look real good on it.
