I spent a good amount on my Tacoma, and first Tundra. (Second one 95% was sponsored) and I kept the Tacoma 11 months, and first tundra 1 year (traded it for the few max and it was a Gen 2.5)

Do you know how much I put into my Tundra? I wanted to stay completely stock accept for a sma increase in tire size. With that old man mindset I'm easily 30-35% of the cost of my truck in mods.

If I had applied my mod budget to the principal of the loan I'd have paid off my truck last month... oof... saying that outloud... I feel sick. :(

When I actually sat down with a calculator and added up what I spent on my first Tacoma it absolutely blew my mind. The worst part was thinking I had the final tally only to remember something else multiple times.

Speaking of my first Tacoma it's still for sale and the guy dropped the price down to $20,000. I always find it interesting how long people are willing to sit on things. I am far too impatient and also love making people happy with good deals. My stuff is always priced to sell

What year and how many miles? That sounds low for a Tacoma these days.

Excluding the winter tires and wheels, I think I only have $4500 and a few hours of wrench turning with my brother in law in my truck.

Next mod will be free. I have to do a parking brake adjustment so my truck and trailer stop trying to roll away from me on slight inclines.

I'm probably around there too. Biggest things were the Pro grill with new bulge, professionally painted to match, LED headlights, 6112's, airbags.

I just adjusted mine before my trip to MT, made a big difference holding the truck in place. I'm kind of OCD about setting my parking brake in N on any incline when parked. The hard clunk of a transmission coming out of P makes me cringe!

Yeah, I always do that too but the wife gets mad at me because the truck starts rolling away in neutral with the brake set.

Is it really 5 minutes? The YouTube video I found has you taking the rear brakes apart.

No, don't do that. Right under the driver door on the frame there is a threaded adjustment. I'll try and get a pic today.

Messing with the rear brakes would be for the auto adjustment that happens as the pads wear down, if I'm thinking of it correctly

Oh, I thought I heard that that adjustment under the door is just for the tightness of the pedal or doesn't actually do anything or something.

Made a big difference for me, you're just shortening that cable a little so more tension goes back to the brake.
I have to really try to get the pedal to the floor now, unlike before.
